Shrivardhan is just about 20 kms from Diveagar, the road to shrivardhan is nice as it goes along the sea with good views. However again like Diveagar, Shrivardhan has the problem of not many hotels along the beach. There is only one small beach side shacks kind of hotel which is cheap but it will not provide any luxury and is kind of noisy. The beach unfortunately in Shrivardhan was not clean, with alot of dead fish. Dont know if people had eaten the fish or they landed up there because of the water quality. Well we stayed at a place called Shiv Shanti holiday inn. A decent place in Shrivardhan, however again a no frills kind of hotel. You need to inform the hotel atleast 1 hour in advance of the food and you need to be at the restaurant accordingly. Food is not served in the rooms. Even if you plan to have a drink, make sure you are taking the alcohol with you as there is no wine shop in diveagar or shrivardhan. There is not much night life and activities and the town pretty much closes at dark. MTDC must seriously promote hotels on the beach if they are to attract more tourists to these areas.
